She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Habenstein Stimmel grandson, Rodney (Trina) Stimmel great-grandsons, Roman and Logan Stimmel sister, Florence Urone niece, Mayri (Dean) Caple nephew, Peter (Patty) Urone other nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Hobby” Habenstein son-in-law, Charlie Stimmel brothers, Tom and Tony Genova and parents, Joe and Mary Genova. Virginia “Ginger” Habenstein - Pueblo Chieftain - JVirginia “Ginger” Habenstein, 88, passed from this life June 13, 2011.
The body was discovered by the girl's father, who said he sent her to the home of a neighboring rancher, two miles distant, to get headache pills for him.
Lena Haas - Pueblo Indicator - DecemCortez- Lena Haas, 16, was found frozen to death near here. Elmer Ludick of Denver and one brother, Joseph, living at Bisbee, Arizona. Haas is survived, besides his parents, by 3 sisters, Mrs. He sailed for France last March with the Seventh Engineers Corps, and during his stay there earned the esteem of his officers. He enlisted in the army September 26, 1917, and was sent to Fort Logan, and from there he was transferred to Fort Leavenworth, Kan., where he completed his training prior to being sent overseas. Haas, who was 31 years of age, was born and raised in Pueblo, and during that time he made a large number of friends. Chriss Haas, was killed in action on October 14.
